Hackers: Forest of Light and Dark

Betwixt the trees the shadows loom,
Molten darkness ‘neath the moon.
Pools of lucid moonlight glimmer,
Beams of shining silver shimmer.
Gnarlèd boughs of solid oak,
Skeletal hands the night sky choke.

A single gleaming golden sphere
Through the azure sky draws near.
Shafts of light like liquid flow
Through canopy to ground below.
Vaulted halls with walls of pine,
Through leafy ceilings sun doth shine.

At last the sun begins to fall
Towards horizon, this day like all.
Shadows grow in size and power,
Strength increasing by the hour.
The rise of dark and fall of light
Repeats as marches in the night.

Betwixt the trees the shadows loom,
Molten darkness ‘neath the moon.
Pools of lucid moonlight glimmer,
Beams of shining silver shimmer.
Gnarlèd boughs of solid oak,
Skeletal hands the night sky choke.

Tonight, as ever,
The domain of darkness.

The forest awaits us all.
